End of Support for Windows 10, Extended ... Know the Facts
Microsoft Windows 10 has been the go to operating system for the last 10 years, and on October 14, 2025 support ended for this particular operating system.
Recently, Microsoft has extended a Security Update (ESU) for Windows 10, for a price. We encourage you to know the facts and read on.
This information will also include all of the new features Windows 11 offers, so you understand why the upgrade is to your advantage and you have the knowledge to make an informed decision when upgrading your systems.
The Truth about Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU)

-
ESU is an option to receive security updates for Windows 10 for PCs enrolled in the program
-
ESU is a PAID subscription service, where individuals and businesses can extend the use of Windows 10 in a more secure manner (past the 10/14/2025 end of support deadline).
-
If you opt to utilize the ESU program, and extend critical security updates for Windows 10, THE COST IS $61 PER MONTH, PER DEVICE FOR ONE YEAR. The COST DOUBLES each consecutive year, maxing out at three years.
-
Technical support is not provided for Microsoft 10 users, unless the issue directly relates to a problem with ESU. And, all of the new features in Windows 11, including increased security with backup and restoration will not be offered through the ESU program.

PLEASE NOTE: If Microsoft says support for a software will no longer be available unless through a paid subscription, this simply means your level of cyber security will decrease and not be up to the latest standard. Rather, the cyber security available to you will only be an extension of whatever the outdated software’s capabilities can accommodate.
